2K - $114K a year The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for partnering with the FabShop operations and employees on multiple shifts to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations.
Leverage Core Safety Rules, to lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our Employees.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company policy.
Partner with other Risk Management and Safety functions within the company to ensure alignment with company processes.
Develop and administer effective occupational health, safety, ergonomics and industrial hygiene programs, including health services functions and maintenance of related policy and procedures in accordance with Cambria requirements.
Educate, motivate and train line supervision and production personnel in good housekeeping practices, safe work procedures, PPE, etc.
Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Cambria Safety Policies.
Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
Analyze safety metrics to discover trends to rationalize the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest.
Perform frequent safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site.
Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury.
Accumulate, prepare and enter health, industrial hygiene, and medical and safety data into the EHS computer system.
Audit the workplace organization and employee behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
Spend time on the manufacturing floor and seek input from Cambria Safety team members, Employees and Plant leaders on safety program improvement opportunities.
Ensure open communication on status of progress and resolution against these suggestions.
Ensure Plant leadership and Employees are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy.
Audit the quality, delivery (including qualifications of the trainer), and effectiveness of all required safety trainings.
Possess a management and leadership style to support positive employee relations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, ergonomics or a related field required
Experience:
10
years of growing responsibilities in safety and health.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory/management role.
Certifications:
Certified Safety Professional preferred Preferred
Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy Bi-lingual Spanish/English Proficient in Google suite of products and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Push/pull 100 lbs.
Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria including tight fitting respirators Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises Occasionally work in wet and/or humid conditions Work in a non-climate controlled environment Separate slabs using a separator tool (wedge) in both racks and A-frames Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift Bend over multiple times throughout shift Task Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
